East Lothian Council (the Council) will be inviting bids from suitably qualified, competent, capable and experienced contractors who wish to be a successful contractor on a Term Maintenance Contract for Planned & Reactive Maintenance for Gas, Oil and LPG for Non-Domestic Properties. The Term Contract will include the Provision of Annual Inspection, Servicing, Testing, Repairs & Maintenance Contract for Non Domestic Properties for the following: -Natural Gas -Oil -LPG The Term Maintenance Contract will cover a 3-year period from date of acceptance with option to extend it once for 1 year. The Term Contract is expected to start around 31st December 2026. This tender process is a two-stage process with the first stage consisting of a selection stage based on the SPD (Single Procurement Document) where the number of tenderers will be restricted using non-discriminatory selection criteria.
Gremista Landfill, Lerwick, Shetland - Phase 3 Construction
The Gremista Landfill, Lerwick Phase 3 extension will primarily involve cut and fill earthworks, new haul roads, installing new surface water drainage ditches, pipework, manholes, and headwalls; placing a 500mm bentonite-enriched soil layer over the new landfill formation surface; followed by a 2mm HDPE welded geomembrane basal liner, protection geotextile, leachate collection pipework, and 500mm thick, clean aggregate drainage / protection layer. Capping works to the existing Phase 2 landfill area are also included and will comprise 1mm thick LLDPE welded geomembrane and restoration soils.

The works comprise of the like-for-like replacement of gas boilers and radiators, full gas boiler systems inclusive of radiators and pipework; replacement of electric storage and panel heating systems, as well as the replacement of existing storage heating, electric wet boilers, and solid fuel heating with Air Source Heat Pumps.
